Canadian Steelpan Industry Conference

A single-day industry conference where the instrument is the subject: vendor tables in a bright hall, sessions in front of projection screens, and playing in a curtained room. The photographer was solving mixed light, daylight in the hall, stage wash and coloured projection spill inside, and busy backgrounds of stands, cymbals and cases. The edit follows that arc, from gear laid out on a table to hands on a pan.

Everything in the room points at the pan.
