Showroom coverage weighted, on the owner's instruction, toward close work. The space is a run of white rooms, tall sash windows, wall-hung rails, long display tables, floors that go from near-black to pale oak. The problem was mixed light: window daylight fighting warm track fittings overhead. The photographer held verticals square on the wides, kept reflection off glass tops and metal rails, and worked the close frames with the window as a raking source.

Raking light is the whole job on cloth.
